| CASE STUDY : |
Justin (Québec, Canada) |
|
Justin was born profoundly deaf and was mainstreamed into a
regular classroom when he began 1st grade. At the time, Justin
was assigned an oral interpreter, which he had for many years.
As time went on, Justin's relationship with his oral interpreter
deteriorated, they no longer seemed to see eye to eye. Knowing
the strain that this was causing, Justin's
Speech-Language-Pathologist decided to try something new. The
interpreter was reassigned to another needing student and Justin
was given an AudiSee system. As it turns out, the decision appears to have been a success because Justin has been using AudiSee since Winter of 2001 when he was in 5th grade. |
