Nicole is a College student who has a hearing loss. She is also
a little person who has limited mobility, wheelchair user and is
partially sighted. Since Nicole has reduced vision, she has the
added difficulty of not being able to see the teacher's face
properly even when facing her directly. AudiSee enables Nicole to see her teacher up close and personal by using the portable screen placed on her desk. Despite the fact that Nicole is in a wheelchair, she still manages to carry her AudiSee around with her by sliding the system into a backpack that is strapped to the back of her wheel chair. Nicole has been using AudiSee since Fall of 2001. |
